Professional Programs

Athletic Training

The Doctor of Athletic Training degree program at the University of Florida is the first and only residential, post-professional clinical doctorate for credentialed athletic trainers. Housed within the Department of Applied Physiology & Kinesiology in the College of Health & Human Performance, the program offers students an advanced clinical practice degree with areas of sub-specialization (Orthopedics, Manual Therapy, Sport Performance, Teaching & Leadership).

Business Administration

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program is a professional doctorate that focuses on integrating the theory and practice of business within the context of current issues faced by the business world. The UF DBA program will help candidates develop proficiency in applied research by improving their methodological and analytical skills. According to Academic Analytics, the Warrington College of Business is ranked among the top ten business colleges in the U.S. in terms of scholarly impact.

Dentistry

The College of Dentistry is one of the top dental schools in the United States, featuring a nationally ranked research enterprise, eight ADA-recognized dental specialties and the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award for seven consecutive years.

Law

The Levin College of Law ranks No. 8 in the nation among public law schools and 22nd among all private and public law schools. UF's Tax Law ranking is second among all law schools and remains first among public law schools. UF Law ranks 10th among all law schools for low student indebtedness.

Medicine

The College of Medicine ranks No. 15 nationally and is the highest-ranked medical school in the state of Florida. In addition to medical training, the college offers a variety of educational opportunities, including the Interdisciplinary Program in Biomedical Sciences, which leads to a Ph.D. or an M.S. degree, and joint programs for M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. The College of Medicine is also home to the School of Physician Assistant Studies.

Nursing

The College of Nursing is consistently ranked in the top ten percent of all graduate degree-awarding nursing schools in the nation. It is ranked in the top 25 graduate programs by U.S. News & World Report.

Occupational Therapy

The Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program prepares students to become professional-level OT practitioners who are leaders in the rapidly changing and dynamic contemporary health and human services delivery systems.

Pharmacy

The Doctor of Pharmacy program has been ranked among the top five percent of programs of its kind in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. The college has three campuses: Gainesville, Jacksonville and Orlando.

Physical Therapy

The Department of Physical Therapy is ranked sixth in the nation among graduate programs in physical therapy at public universities by U.S. News & World Report. The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, which allows graduates to sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination.

Physician Assistant

The School of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida was the first in the state and remains the only state-funded graduate level educational program for physician assistants in Florida.

Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine is Florida's only veterinary college and provides many unique educational programs for students and services aimed at helping pets, wildlife and endangered species. The college is ranked No. 7 among veterinary medical colleges nationwide by the U.S. News & World Report.
