Congratulations on your admission to the University of Florida. You are about to begin one of the most exciting and challenging times in your life as a transfer student at UF.
Transfer admission is valid only for a specific term, college and major. Your admission approval is conditional upon receipt of satisfactory final transcripts and successful completion of all conditions noted in your admissions letter.
Effective Summer B 2014, all newly admitted or re-admitted students who are enrolled in a degree-seeking program and are attending any UF campus will be required to show proof of adequate health insurance as a condition of enrollment.
If you have not completed arrangements for campus housing, contact the Department of Housing and Residence Education immediately. Most on-campus housing is reserved for freshmen, so it is important to make your housing application as soon as possible if you plan to live on campus.
The Office of Admissions wants you to have an easy transition as you continue your academic journey at UF. This is made possible with attendance at Preview, your introduction to life as a student at UF. This mandatory, one-day orientation is when you will learn about academic requirements and university services, receive advising from a faculty member, and register for classes.
Refer to this helpful "to do" list for more steps to ensure your successful transition to the University of Florida. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
