Choosing The Right Major
The University of Florida has 21 colleges and schools that offer more than 100 undergraduate majors and specializations.
Choosing a major can be difficult if you are not familiar with UF's colleges and majors. It can be easier if you begin your search for a major by examining your interest areas and career choices.
As you consider a specific major, please review the coursework required for that major. UF's Undergraduate Catalog provides a semester-by-semester plan for every major. By following the plan, you can stay on-track for the major and graduate on time in eight semesters (the standard length for most degrees).
Students often change their minds about majors and careers. That's why we provide information about every major and academic advisers to guide you. We do not want you to default into a major because deadlines were near. Make your search for a major proactive so you end up with what you want, not what you had to take.
