UF has the world's largest citrus research center, a world-renowned institute for the study of the brain, a public television and radio station, and one of the largest health care centers in the Southeast. The newest buildings on campus are the UF Cancer and Genetics Research Building, and the Jim and Alexis Pugh Hall, home of the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. Construction is underway on a new Shands Cancer Hospital. Recent campus additions include a new honors residential college and new facilities for business, physics, engineering, building construction, health professions, theatre and dance, and veterinary medicine.
