Application Status and Admission Decisions
Two to four weeks after submitting your online application and application fee, you can check on the status of your application to make sure all the required application materials have been received before the deadline.
An application is not considered complete and no decision can be made until all materials have been received. UF may not notify you of missing materials, so it is important for you to check your application status online.
How to Check Your Application Status
- Click the brown Check Your Status button from any admissions page.
- Log on to ISIS with your official UF GatorLink username and password. This is not the temporary username and password you created to submit your application to UF.
- If you have not created a GatorLink account, please do so now. You will need the UFID you received when you submitted your application; it is also on your printed application summary. It can take two days to process your account request, so allow for this time before attempting to log back on to ISIS.
- The information you receive will identify the status of your application to UF, what, if any, materials are missing and provide instructions on how to proceed. This is also where you can receive information about your admission decision.
Admission Decisions
The Office of Admissions notifies freshmen by mail in mid February with an admission decision. Unlike the set notification period for freshmen admission, transfer undergraduate admission notification can occur at any time. If you have any questions, please contact the college directly. Once a decision is made, the college will notify you in writing of an admission decision and of any other requirements.
When an application for admission is approved, the university will send an official written notice of admission to a specific term. Information about your application status is provided online as a convenience. While every effort is made to be timely and accurate, information conveyed by electronic means is unofficial. An official written notification of admission will be mailed to your permanent address.
Please do not act on any information until you have received official notification. If you are unable to enroll for the term indicated or if you wish to be considered for admission to a different term, please contact the Office of Admissions immediately.
Please do not make plans to depart for Gainesville until the university has provided official notification. If you come to the university without confirmation of admission, you do so entirely at your own risk. Your presence on campus will not influence an admission decision.
Student Visa and Arrival in the U.S.A.
After official notice of admission to the university, contact the UF International Center to begin your I-20 process. Do not leave your country before obtaining a student visa and do not come to the United States with a B (tourist) visa.
When you arrive in Gainesville, please report to the UF International Center as soon as you can: 170 Hub, 352-392-5323.
