UF's Shadow Day programs, which began in 2003, tap high-achieving African-American high school seniors and invite them to come to UF for a day to 'shadow' a UF student and learn about educational opportunities and student life at the university.

Shadow Day lets you experience for yourself what it is like to be a college student here at UF. You have the opportunity to attend UF classes and see all of campus, including UF's Welcome Center, residence halls, the bookstore, dining halls, the O'Connell Center and the "Swamp." UF's historically black Greeks will also provide a special step show.

The Office of Admissions is committed to recruiting a diverse student body. We believe that many high school students are not aware of the wonderful opportunities here at UF, including the number of recruitment scholarships available to qualifying African-American students.

The Office of Admissions is committed to getting you to the University of Florida and we are equally committed to helping you graduate. Did you know that UF has the highest graduation rate for African-American students in the state?

If you are interested in attending a Shadow Day program, please contact us one month before the event at 352-392-9960.
