The Historic District

The northeastern area of the UF campus is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. The beautiful brick construction of these original buildings showcases traditional Gothic architecture and exemplifies UF's campus appeal. The residence halls in the Murphree Area (Buckman, Fletcher, Murphree, Sledd and Thomas) are the oldest campus buildings, dating back to 1906. The historic charm of this area helps make these halls some of the most requested residence facilities.
