Plaza of the Americas

The Plaza of the Americas is a great place for students to relax between classes and serves as the university's official forum where students and organizations may peacefully present ideas. The plaza is designated a "Green Area" where there can be no construction. The brick walkway that runs through the plaza is called the "Friendship Walk" and was constructed during Stephen C. O'Connell's presidency in 1967. Students laid bricks to create the path, symbolizing the diversity of the student body.
